Crafton Borough is seeking a Director of Municipal Services and Public Works to oversee our Public Works Department, code enforcement and building officials, neighborhood reinvestment efforts, and resident service response. This senior management position supervises the Public Works Foreman and crew, serves as the escalation point for code and building matters, leads blight reduction initiatives, and facilitates the Shade Tree Commission and Recreation Board.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years supervisory experience managing field crews or public works operations
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, construction management, or related field
• Valid PA driver's license
• 2+ years working with municipal, county, or state government
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Crafton Borough is seeking a Building and Code Officer to serve as the Borough's Building Code Official, Residential Building Inspector, and Zoning Code Officer. This role administers and enforces building, zoning, and fire codes with a strong customer-service focus—reviewing plans, conducting inspections, managing the rental inspection program, and helping property owners navigate reinvestment. There is potential to also serve as Fire Marshal with additional training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Certified Building Code Official and Certified Residential Building Inspector (PA Department of Labor and Industries)
• Experience with PA Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and Municipalities Planning Code (MPC)
• Valid PA driver's license
• 3+ years of experience as a local code official or similar role

PART-TIME SUBSTITUTE CROSSING GUARDS: Crafton Borough is accepting applications for Part-Time Substitute Crossing Guard for the Carlynton School District. Applicants MUST BE ABLE to pass a Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance. All Crossing Guards are considered part-time, with a maximum amount of hours of up to a 20 hours per week. The regular schedule consists of 4 hours per day (2 hours AM, 2 hours PM). This position is seasonal, and runs August through June of each year. A substitute crossing guard would cover shifts for those who are unable to fulfill their regularly worked schedule.
