Project Information for Residents
Welcome to the Broadhead Storm Sewer Separation Project information page. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we undertake this important infrastructure improvement project in Crafton. This project will significantly enhance our community's storm water management system, helping to protect our environment, reduce combined sewer overflows, and improve drainage throughout the neighborhood. The work will involve installing new storm sewer pipes, reconstructing drainage structures, and restoring streets, sidewalks, and driveways across multiple locations.
The construction has begun and will continue through October 21, 2026, with substantial completion anticipated by September 21, 2026. The project will be completed in phases across different streets including Crafton Boulevard, Broadhead Avenue, Warren Street, Parke Street, Coulter Street, and several other locations. Multiple work crews will operate simultaneously in different areas to complete the work as efficiently as possible while minimizing disruption to the community.
Please note: This schedule is preliminary and subject to change at any time. Construction projects are inherently dynamic, and schedules may need to be adjusted due to various factors including weather conditions, unforeseen site conditions, material delivery delays, utility conflicts, coordination with other agencies, permit requirements, or other circumstances beyond the contractor's control. While we will make every effort to adhere to the planned schedule, residents should be prepared for potential changes in timing and sequencing of work. We are committed to keeping the community informed of any significant schedule modifications as the project progresses, and will provide advance notice of work in your immediate area whenever possible.
Throughout the project, residents can expect periodic disruptions including temporary road closures, detours, noise, dust, and limited access to driveways. The contractor, Italo Merante Contracting, will work diligently to minimize impacts and maintain safe access for residents and emergency vehicles at all times. Resident notifications will continue throughout the project to keep you informed of upcoming work in your area.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work together to improve our community's infrastructure for generations to come.
